My name is Miranda. Although I didn’t become a biologist like I wanted as a kid (or a paleontologist…), I still have a love of nature and what lies out there in the wilderness. I thought I would write short snippets about some of the curious creatures that somehow exist on Earth as an exercise for myself as well as entertainment to whoever may read it.

One of my favorite animals is the humble armadillo. I’m intrigued by the many ways animals have come to defend themselves, and in a similar vein I’m also a fan of hedgehogs and turtles, as well as Ankylosaurus in the dinosaur realm.
